28 September, 2020 – London, UK Access Partnership, the leading global public policy firm for the tech sector, today announced that it has appointed Marcin Cichy as senior advisor for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. A respected expert with longstanding presence in the global TMT community, Cichy will help clients navigate the global regulatory environment.

Cichy has over 15 years’ experience in the sector working for both industry and government. He has held numerous high level positions including President of the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) – the Polish Regulatory Authority for telco and postal markets, member of the UN Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development, Vice-Chair of the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC), Vice-Chair of the European Regulators Group for Postal Service (ERGP), Chair of the Eastern Partnership Electronic Communications Regulators Network (EaPeReg), as well as the government representative in the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) and the Intersputnik International Organisation of Space Communications.
About the appointment, Cichy said, “At heart I am a strategist, so what I most look forward to is developing successful and fair business strategies that respect the value of regulation as an enabler of technology.” Cichy also conducts scientific research on telco entrepreneurs horizontal co-opetition on highly competitive markets.
