Abdou is Access Partnership’s Director for Africa, and leads its office in Dakar, Senegal. He supports clients in the charitable, communications, food, government, pharmaceutical, and energy sectors, informing clients on African policy environments and influencing developments. His experience as an international consultant includes collaborations with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radio France Internationale, Instituto de Investigaciones de la UNAM, Mexico, the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA), South Africa, and the Panos Institute West Africa (PIWA), Senegal.
Abdou is an expert in political science, having been published in academic journals and presented at conferences. He holds a PhD and a Postgraduate Certificate from the Univerisité Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, as well as a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Université de Caen-Basse-Normandie, France. He is also a respected authority on politics in Senegal and West Africa, and is regularly consulted by Senegalese and international media.
