Rati is a political researcher specialising in the International Relations of the Middle East. His research focuses on the political, economic and security trajectories of Gulf Arab states, Sino-MENA/Sino-Gulf relations, and regional technology trends.
Prior to joining Access Partnership, Rati gained experience in research-driven and governmental organisations, most notably his work for the Georgian Embassy in Doha, Qatar and the Ministry of Defence of Georgia.
Rati holds an MA in Politics and International Relations of the Middle East from the University of Exeter, an MA in Politics and International Relations from Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and a BA (Hons) in Oriental Studies from Tbilisi State University.
Rati speaks English, Arabic, Russian, and Georgian.
