Rifdi is the Executive Director of the Asia Cloud Computing Association (ACCA). He has extensive policy, research, and advocacy experience in both the private and public sectors over a wide range of tech-related issues.

Meet Rifdi

Rifdi is the Executive Director of the Asia Cloud Computing Association (ACCA). He has extensive policy, research, and advocacy experience in both the private and public sectors over a wide range of tech-related issues. His area of expertise is in tech for good and demonstrating the instrumental role played by tech in enabling economic growth, bridging divides and reducing the inequality gap.

Prior to his current role, Rifdi drove positive impact and responsibility projects across APAC for YouTube (under Maker Lab). During this time, he launched impact reports across key APAC markets to quantify and contextualise the platform’s positive economic, societal and cultural contributions. He also previously worked at Grab covering regional policy communications focusing on the digital economy, ride-hailing, gig work, social impact and emerging tech regulations in Southeast Asia. While in the public service, Rifdi served in the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs developing policy advice on geopolitical developments affecting Singapore and engaging foreign governments to further Singapore’s strategic interests.

Rifdi holds an MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University, United States, and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom.
