Tiernan is a Policy Manager at Access Partnership, working on technology issues at a European Union and national level. He advises companies on policy and political trends covering the full spectrum of ICT topics.
Tiernan has an extensive background in technology public affairs and policy, having spent several years working in Brussels on topics including data privacy, cybersecurity, cloud computing and intellectual property. He has also worked as a policy advisor on Brexit for the UK’s largest business advocacy organisation. Prior to joining Access Partnership, he ran a technology non-profit focusing on augmented-reality accessibility solutions for vision impaired people, including leading the organisation’s advocacy and standardisation work at a national, regional, and global level. Tiernan has a BA in History, Politics, and International Relations and a Master’s Degree in European Public Affairs and Law from University College Dublin.
