Wydeman is a seasoned legal, policy, and government affairs professional, with extensive expertise in managing legal and policy risks within the telecoms and ICT sectors. With a career spanning over 12 years in ICT and telecom policy and regulation, he adeptly monitors, analyses, and reports on the ever-changing policy and regulatory landscape in Africa.
Before joining Access Partnership, Wydeman held the position as head of the Legal and Regulatory unit at Smile Telecoms Holdings Ltd., a Pan-African mobile telecoms operator operating in Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, and the DRC. Prior to that, Wydeman made significant contributions to Ericsson (Middle East and Africa), where he led successful advocacy and policy implementation projects across Africa. His involvement extended to key activities within regional and international bodies like the African Telecommunications Union (ATU) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
