TRPC @ Global Digital Development Forum 2020

On May 6 2020, TRPC had the pleasure of attending and presenting several sessions at the Global Digital Development 2020, a virtual conference co-organised by USAID, Chemonics, Digital Impact Alliance, IntraHealth International, TechChange, and Save the Children.

A total of 3,666 participants from 127 countries attended the 146 proposed sessions. From quick, 5-minute Lightning Talks to 1-hour Breakout sessions, fruitful discussions took place on a range of innovative projects that achieve development goals with new and emerging technologies.


Lightning Talk: Singapore – Strong regulatory foundations for effective crisis management
Jonathan Gonzalez presented a session on Singapore’s technology-driven response to the Covid-19 crisis, a strategy that is largely enabled by favourable laws, policies, and regulations related to the development and adoption of digital technologies.

Breakout Session: Thinking Beyond the Nation – Regional Policies to Grow the Digital Economy
Peter Lovelock was joined by a panel of collaborators to discuss the importance of regional policy approaches to enable the holistic and sustainable growth of digital economies in Southeast Asia.

Workshop Session: Planning the Next Lap of ASEAN’s Digital Masterplan 2025
May-Ann Lim led a panel of experts as they brainstormed some of the key measures the ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2025 should propose to ensure continued economic and technological inclusion across the ASEAN region.
