Access Alert | US National Spectrum Strategy: Comments requested

On 15 March, the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) put forth a request for comments on its National Spectrum Strategy. The Secretary of Commerce, working through NTIA and in collaboration with the Federal Communications Commission, is developing a National Spectrum Strategy implementation plan. The National Spectrum Strategy will outline how spectrum resources will meet national requirements. Two listening sessions have been scheduled, which will focus on:

  • Repurposing of bands.
  • Next-generation networks and technologies.
  • Spectrum sharing.
  • Spectrum allocation.

Listening sessions on the NTIA proposal will take place in Washington, DC on 30 March. Comments must be submitted by 17 April.
