Access Alert: Bletchley Park will host the UK’s AI Safety Summit on 1 and 2 November

The highly anticipated AI Safety Summit will be hosted at Bletchley Park on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 November. This multistakeholder gathering of world leaders and industry experts aims to establish essential guardrails that will pave the way for realising AI opportunities while ensuring responsible and safe management. There will be a specific emphasis on the unique challenges presented by frontier AI models, with OpenAI, DeepMind and Microsoft expected to be at the forefront of discussions. The confirmed attendee list is yet to be announced as AI experts Matt Clifford and Jonathan Black continue to lead both state-level and industry negotiations. The summit will leverage the existing work of multilateral initiatives including the OECD, Global Partnership on AI, Council of Europe, and the UN and standards-development organisations, as well as the recently agreed G7 Hiroshima AI Process.

Access Partnership continues to monitor AI-related developments globally. As the UK AI Safety Summit soon approaches, please contact Jessica Birch at [email protected] to understand more about what we can expect from the summit.
