The World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) is the ITU-led initiative that gathers national administrations and telecom industry members every four years to review and update the global allocation of radio frequencies. Historically, the treaties resulting from each WRC reflect the technological shifts occurring in the industry. The agenda for the next World Radio Conference in 2023 (WRC-23) was recently set, initiating a new round of studies for possible changes to the international Radio Regulations.
