Simulating wireless communication systems is an important step in technology development, network design and spectrum engineering. Computer simulations allow researchers, engineers and regulators to estimate the behaviour of existent or hypothetical networks in a controlled environment without the need to resort to expensive, hard to obtain hardware. More specifically, the regulation of telecommunications systems is based on the ability to estimate the interference two co-frequency systems will cause to each other.
This webinar aims at providing the basic theory of simulation of wireless networks with a focus on its applications in spectrum engineering, management and regulation.
