Access Partnership is launching a series of Economic Impact Reports with Google across 2023 and 2024 to quantify Google’s economic impact in 14 key economies in the APAC region (Australia, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam). In line with the broad theme of “Creating societal impact through digital transformation”, each country report explores two key societal challenges specific to the country, identifies opportunities for relevant technologies to mitigate these challenges, and examines how Google is contributing in these areas. In addition, each country report also details how Google’s products and services deliver significant benefits to businesses, households and society.
As part of this series, Access Partnership published the India report in October 2023, titled Economic Impact Report: Accelerating India’s Digital Leadership with Google. As part of the research presented in the report, Access Partnership estimated the future economic benefits of technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity for India in the year 2030, as well as the present economic benefits of using Google’s tools for businesses and society.
