Washington DC, US – 21 June – Access Partnership, the global public policy firm for the tech sector, today announced it has appointed Thamilla Talarico as its Senior Advisor in Brazil. In her new role, Talarico will support businesses navigate and thrive amid Brazil’s ever-changing regulatory landscape.
With the emergence of new business models offering services and products based on new technologies, a new wave of regulatory developments is taking place in the country: from the implementation of Brazil’s General Law for the Protection of Personal Data (LGPD) and the recently approved legal framework for Start-ups, to the new Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) guidelines. Ms Talarico will work alongside Access Partnership’s policy experts providing specialized legal advice, strategic counsel, and creative strategies supporting our clients’ growth in Brazil.
Thamilla Talarico brings a wealth of experience across legal tech, blockchain, privacy and smart contracts. Currently, a practice Partner and Head of Technology, Privacy and Data Protection at Daniel Law. Thamilla is also a Coordinator of ABPI´s Software, Technology and Data Protection Study Committee and Communications Coordinator at the Personal Data Protection Commission of the Brazilian’s Bar Association (OAB/RJ), Personal Data Protection Commission and IAPP KnowledgeNet Chapter Chair in Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, serving as a professor at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-Rio).
