APEC Report: ‘Building an Enabling Environment for FinTech’

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) has published a new report, ‘Building an Enabling Environment for FinTech’. Developed in collaboration with Access Partnership, the report summarises the findings of the virtual workshop of the same name held in September 2022, which explored the role this burgeoning new sector can play in boosting the global economy by promoting further adoption.

The report examines how blockchain can enhance trade practices and finance, as well as FinTech’s ability to develop ESG standards and support sustainable finance, providing a series of policy recommendations that APEC member economies should follow to ensure that they realise FinTech’s socioeconomic potential.
