Hong Kong as an Internet Financial Hub

This paper addresses the impact of e-commerce and, in particular, the emergence of electronic banking and finance on Hong Kong’s position as a regional financial hub, and the government’s intention to establish Hong Kong as an e-commerce hub. This paper resulted from the June 1999 meeting of the Telecoms Infotechnology Forum, a quarterly forum which discusses telecommunications and information technology issues that affect Asia.
