On September 15, AlphaBeta’s report “Unlocking South Korea’s Digital Potential report: The Economic Opportunities of Digital Transformation and Google’s Contribution”, commissioned by Google, was launched at the Google for Korea 2021 event. There is a significant economic prize attached to accelerating South Korea’s digital transformation. Digital technologies in South Korea could create up to KRW281 trillion (USD236 billion) in economic value, that is equivalent to about 13 percent of the country’s GDP in 2020.
