Unpacking US National Cybersecurity Strategy: Global Implications

How do we build a secure digital ecosystem?

On 9 May, Access Partnership hosted a webinar on the challenges and opportunities presented by the Biden Administration’s National Cybersecurity Strategy. Moderated by our Senior Advisor for Cybersecurity, Tiffany Harbour, the event brought together four leading experts from across government and industry to discuss how the new policy compares to previous efforts and what steps companies are taking to adapt.

Joining Tiffany were:

  • Philip Stupak, Director of Federal Cybersecurity Office of the National Cyber Director Executive Office of the President
  • Mario de la Cruz, Senior Director of Public Policy and Government Affairs, Latin America, Cisco
  • Cassie Crossley, VP, Supply Chain Security, Schneider Electric
  • Elliot Wilkes, CTO, Advanced Cyber Defence Systems

The debate was built around a series of structured questions, with audience members leaving interactive comments for interaction before a closing Q&A. Topics ranged from the National Cybersecurity Strategy’s implications for safety, resilience, and operations to how to leverage existing international frameworks to promote global harmonisation and encourage investment.
