The World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) is the UN-led initiative that gathers national administrations and telecom industry members every four years to discuss the allocation of global radio frequencies and other technical standards for telecommunications. Historically, the treaties resulting from WRC are how the biggest technological shifts of the last century occurred.
In this webinar, we discussed the key developments from WRC-19 in relation to IMT, ESIMs, emerging access systems (HAPS, HIBS), maritime and aeronautical safety services and more. We also looked ahead and discussed WRC-23.
