The Covid-19 pandemic has seen the European institutions shift much of their focus to aiding Europe’s response to the unfolding crisis. This has seen some interruptions to the Commission’s plans to regulate artificial intelligence, data and digital services. Equally, the pandemic has brought to light the many ways technology can be used by both the public and private sectors to mitigate the impacts of the virus on health care services, economies and societies.
