Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) with intermodal data sharing at the core is not only about providing access to multimodal transportation and door to door travel with one ticket. It is also about last-mile integration, disruption management, and last but not least seamless ancillary services integration with retail or hospitality, for example. We don’t see many of these advanced MaaS ecosystems around the world in operation yet. And that is mostly because of three major hurdles related to:
a) data autonomy and ownership
b) handling the complexity and scalability
c) maintaining business autonomy
Sabine Reppert, CEO of Deon Digital Hong Kong, is going to showcase how these hurdles can be overcome. Deon Digital enables this breakthrough by introducing Distributed Ledger Technology and Deon Digital’s Smart Mobility Contracts into the MaaS technology stack.
Pindar Wong, Chairman of VeriFi (Hong Kong) Ltd., will be the discussant and share his views on how to address data-siloes.
