Abubakar has over 10 years’ experience in the satellite broadband communications industry. He is technically grounded, with a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a Masters in Electronic Communications and has gained extensive experience working with clients from around the world.
Prior to joining Access Partnership, Abubakar held various roles beginning with network implementation for the 1-Gov project, which was set up to connect Nigerian federal institutions to a multi-platform ICT infrastructure providing internet and data centre services to accelerate the government’s digital transformation. He then moved on to roles in network operations, frequency management, and the design and implementation of services for Nigcomsat-1R – Sub-Saharan Africa’s first geostationary satellite operated by the Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd.
