Both Mr Mudavanhu and Mr Mtimkulu will focus on how technology can be used to unlock economic opportunities and growth in Africa, ensuring Access Partnership provides government and industry with policy consultation on important industry trends, new legislative rulings, and advances in technology.

About Ethan Mudavanhu, Africa Analyst, Emerging Markets
Prior to joining Access Partnership, Ethan worked as a tech law and policy advisor at EndCode, a consulting firm that specialises in Africa tech law and policy development. Ethan worked at the intersection of business and technology, where he advised a wide range of clients, including multi-national corporations, regional and international organisations, public sector, and non-profit organisations on technology laws and policies in African countries, as well as forecast developments and trends in these areas. Ethan has experience working in the areas of data protection and privacy, cloud computing, digital rights, online safety, electronic transactions, e-government, access to information, cybersecurity, internet governance laws and regulations. Ethan has a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Witwaterand and he holds a Masters in Law from the same university.
About Motheo Mtimkulu, Africa Analyst, Emerging Markets
Motheo was previously the Director of Statutory Compliance at the City of Tshwane (Pretoria) where he was responsible for managing legal and policy compliance within the metropolisis. Motheo has had significant experience working with South African political parties – he successfully managed mayoral campaigns including overseeing the communications team. Motheo also worked at Barclays Bank (South Africa) where he guided the Chairman and the Board to ensure the bank complied with its statutory and corporate governance requirements. After graduating, Motheo was a candidate attorney at Bowman Gilfillan, where he worked within the Oil and Gas unit, he assisted companies to navigate the legal and political hurdles around licensing. Motheo has a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Pretoria and achieved his Masters in Law, with distinction, at Lancaster University in the UK as a Chevening Scholar.
