March 8th, 2021 – London (UK) Access Partnership, the global public policy firm for the tech sector, today announced it has appointed Kaisu Karvala to lead its team for Europe and the UK. Karvala will develop fair, long-lasting policy, law and regulation with both Brussels institutions and individual Member States.
“We took our time to target and recruit Kaisu because she’s uniquely able to ensure that European tech is offered on terms that work for the citizen and drive economic growth, whereas most people take one position or the other.” Gregory Francis, Managing Director, Access Partnership, commented. “Her stature in technology policymaking means our team can now drive lasting outcomes across Europe.”
Kaisu Karvala has led communications and advocacy campaigns worldwide, having served as Chairperson of GSMA Europe, on the board of ETNO, as Group Vice President for Corporate for Affairs at Telia, and latterly at Rovio Entertainment where she was in charge of marketing and communications.
About the appointment, Karvala herself said, “Access Partnership is a unique platform: their methods and process succeed time and again to define the tech policy agenda which, in this historical moment, is the most exciting leadership role you can have. So, I said yes.”
