The Opportunity
Our client, a coalition of global vaccine manufacturers, sought to address persistent barriers to adult vaccine uptake across the Asia Pacific. These included limited sustainable financing, undervaluation of vaccines’ broader economic impact, and delays in the approval of new vaccines. The client needed a strategic platform to influence regional health policy and drive meaningful, measurable progress.
The Solution
As Secretariat of the Vaccines Task Force, Access Partnership led the development of the APEC Action Plan on Vaccination Across the Life-Course, setting out clear commitments and measurable indicators to promote accountability. We also built and continue to maintain the APEC Regional Dashboard to track implementation progress.
By engaging health ministries and key international stakeholders, and organising high-level events, we helped secure endorsement of the initiative by APEC Health Ministers and formal recognition as a subsidiary body under the APEC Health Working Group.
