The Opportunity

A leading global payments company faced a significant regulatory threat in Vietnam, where a draft regulation proposed requiring all data to be copied onto local servers before being transferred abroad. This provision would have severely disrupted the client’s ability to operate in the country. 

The Solution

We mapped key government stakeholders involved in drafting the regulation and identified other impacted organisations with aligned interests. We developed an engagement strategy that combined direct outreach with joint advocacy, supported by targeted policy inputs to reshape the regulation. This coordinated effort ensured the client’s voice was heard in the policymaking process and aligned with a broader coalition of stakeholders.
