CITC Webinar Recording | Fostering Next Generation of WiFi Technologies in Saudi Arabia

01 Apr 2021 | 11:00

Access Partnership’s Acting Director for the Middle East and North Africa, Tamer Azab, took part in a webinar hosted by the Communications & Information Technology Commission (CITC) of Saudi Arabia.

The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) is working to transform Saudi Arabia into a digital society by enabling an array of different wireless technologies that can utilize spectrum while co-existing with other users and uses. Saudi Arabia is the first country in the region to foster the license-exempt spectrum over the 6 GHz for a new generation of Wi-Fi technologies.

To launch this initiative, the CITC  held as a virtual seminar on the 1st of April 2021. It outlines the usage of 6GHz for WiFi 6E and other license-exempt technologies. This event will brought together top speakers from Facebook, Microsoft, Intel, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Broadcom, Access Partnership, WBA, DSA and WiFi Alliance.
