On Thursday, March 18, Genevieve Lim, Engagement Manager at AlphaBeta, shared key findings from a new report launched with Google, “Skills for the future: Capturing a Rp 4,434-trillion opportunity for Indonesia in 2030”, at a webinar organised by the Institute for Social Economic Digital (ISED) in Indonesia, and hosted by Google Indonesia. Titled “Digital Skills for the Future”, this event was streamed live on YouTube.
The keynote speaker, Minister of National Development, Dr. (H.C). Ir. H. Suharso Monoarfa, gave a brief introduction to the digital skilling landscape in Indonesia, which was followed by an engaging panel discussion with representatives from government, industry and academia. The topic stoked a rich conversation with the audience on how digital skilling has brought transformative impacts to businesses and people, and will continue to be crucial to turbo-charge the growth of Indonesia’s economy going forward.
