“The report, “Tech Policy Trends in 2020,” covers a variety of topics suggesting that there’s a new wave of protectionism in Europe. “They’re undermining the US approach,” said Michael Clauser, head of the data and trust practice at Access Partnership. “Europeans would say that they’re filling a gap,” he added. “I would suggest that this was never the case. US tech companies flourish because of the light touch of the regulatory model.”
