Launch of New Nature Economy: Asia’s Next Wave at Ecosperity 2021

The New Nature Economy: Asia’s Next Wave report, jointly authored by AlphaBeta, Temasek and the World Economic Forum, was launched at Ecosperity Week 2021 on September 29. Its main message: While 63% of GDP in Asia Pacific is at risk from biodiversity and nature loss, nature-positive business opportunities worth US$4.3 trillion annually are available in 2030 in tackling the crisis across the region.

The launch event may be viewed below, A video of the launch event is below, including an opening address by Mr. Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies for Singapore, followed by a presentation by Akanksha Khatri, Head of Nature Action Agenda at the World Economic Forum, and Dr. Fraser Thompson, Founder and Managing Director of AlphaBeta.
