Safeguarding Online Spaces with Flynn Adams

Flynn Adams outlines the need for coordinated action on online safety

In the latest episode of Access Partnership’s Global Policy Review podcast, host Dana Poponete is joined by Flynn Adams, Founder and CEO of INTELiQORE, to discuss how to address the challenges presented by online safety.

Outlining her personal experience with trolling and fraud, Flynn shares her motivation for moving into the digital safety sector, the scale of the problem relative to human subjectivity, and the need for legal frameworks to catch up with technological advancements.

Stressing the importance of a human-centred approach, Flynn describes the lack of investment in this regard and the role INTELiQORE plays in identifying and filling regulatory gaps, such as by using forensic best practices to augment human safety decisions and help people control their digital boundaries.

In a wide-ranging conversation that touches on the impact of the metaverse on existing threats and how to expand access to existing safety resources, Flynn emphasises the importance of a willingness to engage in a connected dialogue and her desire to see the creation of an independent standards body.
