For more than 36 years, Aurelian-Sorinel Calinciuc has been the leading expert for the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications of Romania (ANCOM) in the fields of aeronautical and maritime radiocommunications services, along with the associated specialised satellites systems developed for these services, and for the radiodetermination-radiolocation service.

His entire professional career lies within the radiocommunications domain. Aurelian used to work in the multicultural environment of radiocommunications and he had represented the national communications regulator in various international bodies, including three World Radiocommunications Conferences (2012, 2015, and 2019), where he contributed to notable results.

Due to his chairmanship positions over a number of decades, he has built the ability to handle critical situations, and his integrity and professional expertise are highly appreciated and respected by national and international experts.

Furthermore, he has constantly pursued in-depth specialisation in various fields of electrical and electronics engineering, achieving reliable qualifications in the field of aeronautical, maritime and satellite radiocommunications, GMDSS system and associated Satellite communications, as well as an extensive range of radio operator’s certificates.
