Jacob is a Manager with the Data Governance team, covering a wide range of topics including artificial intelligence ethics, political risk, and space and satellite communications. Prior to this role, he served as Director of the USAI-Szymanski Rule of Law Program at the US-Asia Institute on Capitol Hill. He has also used his expertise in US-East Asia policy analysis and engagement as a consultant on the World Justice Project’s Rule of Law Index as well as in the non-profit sector at United Way Worldwide China.
Jacob holds an MA in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, specialising in Chinese and Mongolian studies, and a BA in Chinese and International Relations from Tufts University. He speaks English and is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
