Kamles is an Associate Director at Asia Group Advisors, an Access Partnership company, and is based in our Malaysia office. He specialises in advising on media strategy, crisis management, and public policy advocacy, particularly in areas of sustainability and digital transformation.
Before joining Access Partnership, Kamles was with Edelman Malaysia, where he led multi-million-dollar campaigns for government and corporate clients and managed projects related to environmental policy, economic development, and digital innovation.
Kamles began his career as a journalist, covering key political and socio-economic developments across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. He was instrumental in driving policy reforms during his time at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, where he contributed to the successful initiative to lower Malaysia’s voting age to 18. He has also managed several political campaigns and remains active in the media advocacy scene.
Kamles holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Communication and Media Studies and is fluent in English, Malay, and Tamil. He has extensive experience engaging with public and private sector leaders across the region, advancing meaningful dialogue between business, government, and civil society.
