Marcela is an analyst in the Data Governance team. She previously worked as an intern at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Tech division during the Biden-Harris administration. During that time, Marcela worked on the implementation of the Executive Order on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence. She also had the opportunity to work with the International Trade Administration at the Brazil Desk. Previously, Marcela worked at the Global Network Initiative and the Information Technology Industry Council.

Marcela holds a Masters of Science in Foreign Service with a concentration in Science and Technology from Georgetown University, a B.A. in Political Science with honours and a B.A. in Corporate Communication with honours from the University of Texas at El Paso.
