Suzan Shedid Elsayed is an experienced advisor specialising in tech policy, trust & safety, and strategic consulting. In her previous tenure at Meta (formerly Facebook), she held two critical roles: Product Policy Manager (region agnostic) and Safety Policy Manager for Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey (AMET). In these roles, Suzan led global and regional initiatives to develop safety frameworks, address high-severity policy issues, and ensure regulatory compliance across platforms like Messenger, and Instagram Direct, protecting millions of users worldwide.

In her AMET role, Suzan collaborated with policy, program, and communications teams to tackle complex safety challenges, enhance user protection, and align regional efforts with Meta’s Global Safety Policy goals.

With over a decade of experience across five countries, Suzan’s consulting career spans EY, BCG’s Centre for Public Impact, and The Palladium Group. She has crafted national strategies for Middle Eastern governments, led public policy initiatives for the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, and delivered transformative projects driving sustainable development globally.
